Cats in 1st Day 1 Regions

Conference Champs!!!

Your Bobcats took the 2014 Upper Chesapeake Bay Area Conference title scoring 258.5 points. Bo Manor was second with 153 points. The Cats placed 11 Wrestlers in the top 4 spots with 3 champions, Cameron Watts 145, John Cross 152 & Cyler Crawford 195. After 3 years of coming up a couple points short, we finally retained the title. 2008, 2009, 2010 UCBAC and 2000 County titles. We have also won the Dual titles for the Chesepake Division, UCBAC, and Region. Finishing the dual meet season with a record of 16-0.

UCBAC Day #1

After the first day of competition your Bobcats are in the lead of the Upper Chesapeake Bay Area Conference Tournamennt with 98 Points, Bo Manor and Aberdeen are tied at 2nd with 66.  All 14 wrestlers return on Saturday morning in hopes of holding on to the #1 spot.

Cats' winner of #2's Tri-Meet

On Wednesday evening your Bobcats traveled to North Carroll High School to make up a previously snowed out (twice) event against the host and Perry Hall.  All three teams were seeded #2 in their respective regional dual tournament.  The Cats, lead by Seniors Grant Fleming, John Cross and Cyler Crawford took down both the Gators and the Panthers.  This tri-meet ends the dual meet season as the wrestlers prepare for this weekends UCBAC Championship hosted by Aberdeen.

Officials Error and Cats are Region Champs, but do not move on...

Monday evening an error was brought to the MPSSAA concerning the tie-breaker criteria in the Regional Championship match versus host River Hill.  The officials did not include the forfeit with the falls, thus resulting in a Bobcat win 37-36.  The MPSSAA Ofificial deemed it too late to overturn the result and River Hill will continue to States.

Cats finish 2nd in Regional Duals

After all the snow we finally wrestled intl the Regional Duals.  Seeded 2nd we battled Old Mill in a close match then went on to wrestle host River Hill who topped Glenelg in the semi-final.  After a hard fought tie, it came down to the 6th tie breaker criteria, technical falls, where River Hill led 1-0 and took the regional title.  They are headed to North Point High for the state duals on Wednesday,  while the Bobcats will make up the tri-meet versus Perry Hall at North Carroll.

Cats Top Tigers in Early Match

On a Monday afternoon, 3:00 to be exact, match, the Bobcats hosted the Tigers of Rising Sun.  Your Bobcats came out on top with a 58-15 win.  Our next action is Wednesday Night, 5:30, at River HIll High School for the Regional Dual Meet Tournament.  Bel Air is the #2 team and faces #3 Old Mill, while host River Hill #1 faces Glenelg #4.  Lots of great wrestling at this event, the winners of the first match wrestle to determine the Regional Champ.  The Regional Champ competes on Saturday in the same fomat versus the other 3 regional champs.

@ Atholoton High on Friday 2/7

vs Rising Sun on Monday 2/10 3pm BAHS

We are currently 2nd in Regional Duals, Atholton will be the last match that counts towards that tournament.  River Hill is 10-0 with 2 matches on Saturday.  We are 10-0 with the match vs Atholt on on Friday.  As of right now, we will be competing for the Regional Dual Crown on Wednesday at River Hill High School in Clarksville, Howard County.  1 - River Hill , 2- Bel Air, 3- Resevior, 4- Old Mill.  These can still change but if we win we are in, Glenelg is at 5th with 2 losses.
