72 - 13 Cats over Atholton

The Bobcats closed out 2010 with a home victory over the Raiders of Atholton, Howard County.  The wrestlers will enjoy an extended break this holiday season not facing any opponents until Wednesday January 5th, when we travel to Chesapeake City to Bohemia Manor High.  We spend the weekend of the 7th and 8th at C Milton Wright High School where our varisty will have 7 dual meets in 2 days. The Cats are at 10-0.

Golden Eagle Duals Champions

The Bel Air Wrestlers defeated Springbrook of Montgomery County, 38-34, for the tournament title. Tom Kuegler won his 100th match in the final. There are now 5 100 win wrestlers in Bobcat history, Chris Birth 1990, Matt Cross & Sean Ellenby 2008, Steve Cross & Tom Kuegler 2011. Wednesday night is the first home match against rival Rising Sun of Cecil County.

Cats' 4-0 at Golden Eagle Duals

The varsity wrestlers are off to a good start in defending their tournament title, winning all 4 matches on Friday night. The first match was against a tough Marriotts Ridge team who took an early lead 24-12. Senior Captain Steve Cross got the Cats' back on track with a 1st period pin, Jake Queen and WIlliam Holder-Moore followed that fall with strong performances, making the score 24-27 Bel Air. Senior Captain Tom Kuegler, Jeff Traore and Ben Ludwig finished the meet with pins, earning the Bobcats a 45-28 victory.

Bobcats top Mustangs 59 -12

The JV and Varsity Bobcats won their meets Wednesday evening at C Milton Wright. The Varsity heads to Aberdeen Friday and Saturday where they defend their 2009 Iron Eagle Duals Title, while the JV goes to Milford Mill on Saturday.

Your Bobcats open the season Wednesday night

On Wednesday, December 8, the 'Cats travel down the road to face the C Milton Wright Mustangs. Come and support your Bobcat wrestlers as they try to defend their 2010 Dual Meet State Title. JV starts at 5:15 and Varsity is at 6pm. This weekend the Varsity wrestlers head to Aberdeen High School for the Iron Eagle Duals, wrestling starts at 4pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday. The JV wrestlers travel to Milford Mill on Saturday, wrestling starts at 9am.

PRACTICE HAS BEGUN

Monday November 15th, the Bobcat Wresting room was filled with over 70 wrestlers. We have practice on Friday morning after Thanksgiving, @ 10am. On Saturday morning we are assisting the Bel Air Lions club with christmas tree unloading across the street from Kelly Fields.
