JV Cats top Huskies 36-15

The JV Bobcats travelled to Patterson Mill High School to have a 10 match Dual Meet.  The Cats to 7 out of 10 matches highlighted with pins by Micah Hunter-Gowskie , Drew Dryer, Hunter Jewitt, Andrew Haney.  Major Decisions by Kenny Scoggins, Zach Sommers and Brad Fallon.

Bobcats Qualify for Regional Duals

With a 13-1 record this season, the Bobcats are 4th seed for the 3A-4A East Regional Dual Meet Tournament.  Wednesday February 6th at 5:30pm we face the host school and #1 seed River Hill (14-0).  #2 - Stephen Decatur (14-0) faces #3 - South River (13-1), the regional champion will compete on Saturday for the State title. 

Senior Night Win over Bo Manor

Class of 2013

Tonight was the last home match for the Class of 2013, and they picked up their 23rd win of the season, defeating Bo Manor 47-24 (?).  Congrats to William Holder-Moore, Noah Winter, Ryan Gibson, Conner Nash, Anthony, Justin Noles and Luke Schlegel.

5-2 Finish at the Iron Horse Duals

Your Bobcats finished the Iron Horse Duals with a 5-2 record.  Saturdays results were 58-18 over Parkville, 48-12 over Eastern Tech, A loss ato LaPlata 37-30 and a win over host C. Milton Wright 62-11.

2-1 At Iron Horse Duals

The Bobcats opened the tournament with a win over LIberty High School followed by an exciting match against Stephen Decatur 37-35 and finishing up with a win over Patterson Mill High School 51-22.  Wrestling starts tomorrow at 10 am at CMW High School.

Cats' Down Tigers 52-16

Bel Air defeated the Rising Sun Tigers at home Wednesday evening 52-16.  The match started at 120lbs where Brady Stafford scored a first period fall, 1 of 5 falls for the Bobcats on the night.  Cameron Watts 132, John Cross 152, Grant Fleming 170 and David Reagan 106 scored the other falls.  Connor Nash 126 and William Holder-Moore 182 received forfeits.  Cyler Crawford 195, and Gavin Rupprecht 113 earned decisions and Luke Shclegel 285 scored a major decision.  The varsity wrestlers have an early practice tomorrow as they prepare for the Iron Horse Duals at C.

Cats' Back In Action January 2

Your Bobcats host Cecil County Rival Rising Sun at BAHS on Wendesday, January 2 at 5:50pm, the JV goes to Perryville for the 2nd UCBAC Rodeo on Thursday and the Varsity travels to down Rt 22 to CMW in a tough Iron Horse Duals Tournament on Friday and Saturday.  On a  side note, Gavin Rupprecht and William Holder-Moore downed Coach Barwick and Coach Rose in gureling and heavily contested badminton match this past week, 11-5,

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas all, the Bobcats finished the 2012 portion of their season with a record of 11-1 and jump right into action on January 2.  The videos for JV and Varsity have been updated and are linked in the navigational menu above, the photos will be linked soon.

 

Thoughts and prayers

The hearts of the Bel Air wrestilng families go out to the Aberdeen Wrestling families.  This morning one of their young wrestlers lost his mother in a vehicle accident on I-95.  Our thoughts and prayers for their family during this most difficult time.

The Bobcats brought home the Iron Eagle Duals Trophy after deafeating Perryville 62-15, Annapollis 50-22, Springbrook 39-29 and in the Championship Fallston 36-25
